Description
VersaSpeed 100 is a single-component (meaning you just add water), rapid hardening repair mortar. Designed for fast repairs, it uses micro-fiber reinforcement to reduce shrinkage and enhance strength. Once repaired and cured, surfaces can take regular traffic in a very short time. It’s formulated for horizontal repairs: floors, pavement, decks, loading dock surfaces, etc. It also works in vertical or overhead “form & pour” applications under certain circumstances.
Features
Very fast set time and strength gain — you can open repaired areas to standard tire traffic just 2 hours after final set. This means minimal downtime.
Epoxy coating allowed early — after ~4 hours (at ~21 °C / 70 °F) you can apply an epoxy sealer or coating over the repair.
Micro-fiber reinforcement — helps prevent cracking, improve durability, and reduces plastic shrinkage and drying shrinkage.
Shrinkage compensated / reduced — the formulation is designed to limit shrinkage which can cause cracking or bonding issues.
Integral corrosion inhibitor — helps protect embedded steel reinforcement from corrosion, which is useful in repairs on reinforced concrete.
Versatile placement depth — can be used neat (without aggregate) up to 4 in (10 cm) thick. For thicker parts (4-6 in / 10-15 cm), it can be extended with clean, saturated-surface-dry (SSD) pea gravel up to 50% by weight.
Interior or exterior use — works in both climate-protected or exposed environments, giving more flexibility to contractors.
Applications
Some of the key typical use-cases for VersaSpeed 100 include:
Repairs to industrial, commercial, or institutional floors where rapid return-to-service is needed (warehouses, loading docks).
Repairing pavements, roads, or highways (patches, spalls) that need to be ready quickly for traffic.
Fixing bridges, parking decks, ramps where durability and speed matter.
Form & pour or patching for vertical or overhead surfaces (though horizontal repair is the primary design).
Specifications
Standard compliance
Meets ASTM C928 — “Standard Specification for Packaged, Dry, Rapid-Hardening, Cementitious Materials for Concrete Repair”
Regional spec compliance
Alberta Transportation Technical Standards – Spec B391
Maximum neat thickness
Up to 4 inches (10 cm) without aggregate
Extended thickness
Between 4-6 in (10-15 cm) when extended with up to 50% by weight pea gravel (clean, SSD)
Traffic return time
Standard tire traffic in 2 hours after final set (at 70 °F / ~21 °C)
Packaging
Bag size: 50 lb (22.7 kg) per bag.
Yield: As above – neat application gives about 0.39 cubic feet per bag; with aggregate extension you get more volume per bag.
