Perma‑Tique® Antiquing Agent is a proprietary powder blend, mixed with water and applied to hardened, unsealed stamped concrete or overlays to add accent color and produce a visually enriched, antiqued finish.
It is packaged in 3-pound (1.4 kg) pails, with each pail covering approximately 2,000–3,000 sq ft (185–279 m²)
Available in 14 standard colors (e.g. Smoke, Deep Charcoal, Storm Gray, Brick Red, Russet, etc.)—custom colors are possible with lead time.
Features
Designed for use on hardened new or existing stamped concrete and unsealed T1000® Stampable Overlay, allowing enhancement of texture and definition.
Provides a secondary accent color, with solids naturally settling in texture lows to highlight contours—when sealed, it offers long-lasting visual depth.
Not suitable for untextured surfaces. Ambience during application should be 50 °F–90 °F (10–32 °C). Prior sealed surfaces must be stripped; newly stamped must have release agent washed off.
Applications
Mixing: Use ¾ cup (6 oz) of powder per gallon of clean water. Mix thoroughly, then apply via pump sprayer or soft-bristle brush, keeping agitation to prevent settling.
Adjustable intensity: More or less powder can be used—up to 1.5 cups per gallon for deeper antique effect.
Surface Prep: For new overlay, acid wash (10:1 water:muriatic acid) is recommended, or use CHO™ Cleaner for light-base surfaces. Existing concrete should have a CSP‑1 ICRI profile, and be free of sealers, oils, curing compounds.
Sealing: Must be sealed after application (e.g., with Clear Guard® Cure and Seal, Clear Guard® PRO 350, or Clear Guard® H2O Wet Look). Add slip-resistant additive as needed.
Coverage: Approx. 2,000–3,000 sq ft per 3 lb pail.
Shelf Life: 2 years in unopened, dry storage.
Quality control: Cast a job-site sample at least 10 days prior to installation for color/finish approval.
