Description
The 4-Layer Concrete Curing Blanket (6 ft × 25 ft, silver colour) is a premium job-site insulation cover designed to support concrete curing, cold-weather protection, and general surface/ground insulation. Built with four distinct insulation layers—including a cross-woven polyethylene outer shell and multiple closed-cell foam layers—the blanket helps preserve heat and moisture in freshly placed concrete, guard against rapid cooling or wind chill, and accelerate strength development under cooler ambient conditions.
Its compact width (6 ft) and length (25 ft) make it especially suited for narrower pours, footings, sidewalks, and cold weather pour coverage when full-width slabs don’t require the largest blanket size.
Features
Four-layer insulation construction: Multiple closed-cell foam layers combined with a high-density polyethylene outer shell enhance thermal retention, supporting optimal curing performance when ambient temperatures or wind chill threaten proper concrete strength gain.
High insulating value: The design achieves an R-value in the range of approx. R 3.35 under ideal conditions (with an air gap) according to vendor spec sheets.
Durable and job-site tough: Reinforced hems, double stitching, tear-proof fabric, UV resistance and mildew resistance ensure the blanket holds up under rough site conditions.
High visibility colour & size convenience: The silver finish makes the blanket easy to locate on site, while the 6 ft width is manageable for mid-sized pours and narrower flatwork—ideal when full-width blankets (e.g., 12 ft) are unnecessary.
Multipurpose use: Not just for curing concrete—also valuable for insulated ground covers, thawing frozen surfaces, protecting stored materials, or temporary job-site shielding.
Applications
This blanket is well suited for:
Covering freshly poured concrete slabs, footings or walls in cooler or windy weather to preserve heat and moisture during early curing phases.
Cold-weather placements: cold mornings, late-season pours, or job sites with variable ambient temperature where a standard tarp may be insufficient.
Narrow pours or smaller jobs: sidewalks, interior slabs, smaller pads, trenches or areas where a large blanket would be less efficient or more difficult to handle.
Protecting ground or materials around the job site: e.g., thawing frozen ground beneath new pour, insulating stored aggregate or concrete block stacks, or as temporary job-site protection.
Commercial, residential or industrial flatwork where improved curing conditions translate to faster strength gain and fewer weather-related defects.
Specifications
Size: 6 ft (≈ 1.83 m) width × 25 ft (≈ 7.62 m) length Weight: Approx. 3.5 lb (≈1.6 kg) for the blanket
